VISA - CITIUS, ALTIS, FORTIUS

Jakub Hubner
13 Years Old - Poland
"Citius, Altius, Fortius"

"The images portray the most important Olympic challenges: who is quicker, who is stronger, who reaches higher. This has been the same at every Olympics, including those in ancient times. Ancient Games, however, had an advantage over contemporary ones. They were a great celebration for everyone, a time when all wars and conflicts were put aside. Participating in the Games was a great distinction, and the sole reason for rivalry was to receive the Olympic laurel."

The box for "Higher" includes a pole-vaulter and the box for box for "Stronger" contains a weightlifter who is sweating a lot. Also inside the maple leaf are almost all of the important flags that go in the Olympics and some just look neat. Underneath the flags it says 2000 with the zeros portrayed by first, second and third place ribbons. On each side of the maple leaf is a globe and a happy face. In the top left corner are the Olympic rings that are linked together."
